Militärsteinschlosspistole aus der Zeit von Pfalzgraf Christian IV von Pfalz-Zweibrücken 1735 – 1775 bzw. Pfalzgraf Karl II 1767 – 1795, Linie Pfalz-Birkenfeld.

In Anlehnung an die französische Pistole M 1733/66, 2. Modell mit gewölbtem Hahn.

Deutsche Produktion, wohl Gewehrfabrik Essen.

Länge: 39,5 cm, Lauflänge: 23,4 cm.

Kaliber: 17/17,5 mm.

In den Lauf hinten seitlich eingeschlagen ein gespiegeltes ligiertes C unter Krone (Hut?). Schlossplatte innen gestempelt „ROMA“ in eckiger Rahmung.

Based on the French pistol M 1733/66, 2nd model with curved hammer.

German production, probably Essen rifle factory.

Length: 39.5 cm, barrel length: 23.4 cm.

Caliber: 17/17.5mm.

A mirrored ligated C under the crown (hat?) is hammered into the side of the barrel at the back. Lock plate stamped on the inside „ROMA“ in a square frame.
